"Now we’re just a web of mystery
A possibility of more to come
I’d rather leave the fantasy of what might be
But here I go fallin’ again"

It’s The Falling In Love
Michael Jackson feat. Patti Austin

Faith in Fate

February 19th, 2006 by katfdax

Have you ever felt like time was moving at
a particular pace? It’s like the world was rotating in accordance to a certain
rhythm…a rhythm which is making the clock’s hour- and minute-hand move in
synchronicity with a fateful happenchance…if it is an event of chance at all.

In moments like these, you would feel as if everything is
right. You’d be at ease and it’s as if you know..you just really know, deep in
your heart, that it’s all happening for a reason. For what reason, you may not
necessarily know. At least not until that instance comes when you feel the
like.."ahh.." or rather, "wow..so this is what it’s all
about..".

The sun would be brighter, the sky a lighter shade of blue.
At least that’s how you would feel like they are when that moment comes. Your
smile would never be as radiant..and your heart, alight with joy.

But what if moments like these are ceased even before they
are set to begin? I mean, who gets to play what in this movie-like setting we
call life? If everything happens in accordance to a certain script then Who’s
writing it? And who’s directing who? These questions, and a series of others
would surely be asked by many. But the fact is, they are never meant to be
answered..or maybe they are..and the only one who could answer them is you.
When the time comes, you would know the exact answer to all of these. Don’t ask
when. When you know…you just know. In the time being, all you have to and
could do is wait. Wait. And have faith.

"Faith in what?", you might ask. One of the motion
pictures I have watched claimed that "…life is not merely a series of
meaningless accidents or coincidences. Uh-uh. But rather, it’s a tapestry of
events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan…if we are to live life in
harmony with the universe, we must all possess a powerful faith in what the
ancients used to call "fatum", what we currently refer to as
destiny.
".

The bottom line would be…everything happens for a reason.
Questions would have to remain as they are until the right time comes for them
to be answered. Don’t take my or anyone else’s word for it. Have faith in fate
and see for yourself.

See Who Weds in 2006…Hollywood Stuff

With This Prenup I Thee Wed - Stars Getting Hitched in 2006

By Stephanie DuBois

Traditional wedding vows have long been a thing of the past and any
number of variations now exist for all types of couples and marriages.
But perhaps special wedding vows - more accommodating to the lifestyles
of the rich and famous — need to be written for the Hollywood couples
set to walk down the aisle in 2006.

Do
you [insert superstar name] take [insert young ing?nue, supermodel,
nannies' name] to be your wedded [husband/wife] to live together in
marriage with all appropriate prenuptial documents signed and
notarized? Do you promise to love, comfort, honor and keep [him/her]
for better or worse, botox or box-office fiascoes, for richer or poorer
movie deals and tax evasions, in sickness, series cancellations, rehab
stays and in health? And forsaking all others - including the new
nanny, be faithful - even while away on location with Brad or Angelina, only to [him/her] so long as you both shall be marketable?

Hmmm.
Sounds jaded, admittedly. But that’s just what most industry wags have
become over the most anticipated nuptials of 2006, the TomKat union of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
Cruise’s over-the-top rantings of endless love for his young amour left
many turned off and wondering if thou doth profess your love too
loudly, Tom, especially when it coincides with the opening of your next
film. The couple is expecting a baby and Cruise told Barbara Walters
they’d most likely hold off on getting married till after the Tombino
arrives. But Tom would probably want to go with the "You Complete Me
Vows" ala his Jerry Maguire character. While Miss Katie would most
certainly find the "Fairy Tale Dreams Vows" — for the little princess
that is now all grown up and ready for her dream to come true — most
appropriate.

As for Brangelina — are they, aren’t they, have they, haven’t they,
will they, won’t they? Who can keep up with the rumors flying all over
the place about Angelina being pregnant, Brad wanting to adopt her
children, George Clooney
setting up a wedding for them? At this point, I for one, don’t care if
they become Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Mr. & Mrs. Jones or Mr. &
Mrs. Pitt.

Aaah, but even cynicism fades in the face of true love.

Set to wed Seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong this Spring, rocker Sheryl Crow
might want to go for those "Meaning To My Life Vows." The couple has
been together since 2003 and Crow has reportedly said of her cycling
champion/cancer surviving fiance that she learns "so much from Lance’s
determination to live life every minute to the fullest."

Emmy-winning "Medium" star Patricia Arquette
has been predicting that she will finally wed her long-time fiance,
actor Thomas Jane, in the summer. Engaged since 2002, the parents of a
two-year-old daughter will probably want to take the "Forsaking All
Dead People" vows for that one.

Ryan Reynolds and fiance Alanis
Morissette haven’t set the date yet, but sound like they’re ready to
take the "Unifying Force Vows" to keep their busy lives on the love
track. Reynolds told the Beck/Smith column recently that, "We trade
off. She’ll come on location with me and then I’ll go on the road with
her. As long as you keep each other the priority, it seems like
everything else just seems to fall into place."

Whether it be
"Sacred Promise Vows," "More Than a Moment Vows," "Love and Acceptance
Vows" or "Pledge of Love Vows," the following celebs have vowed to join
in holy matrimony - or at least matrimony — in the coming year:

"Brokeback Mountain" hottie Heath Ledger
and former "Dawson’s Creek" regular Michelle Williams reportedly plan
to give their recently born child parents with the same last name
sooner or later but no date has been set as yet.

"Desperate
Housewives’" Marcia Cross is engaged but not desperate enough to have
set a date yet. Cross became engaged to stock broker Tom Mahoney this
fall.

Flea of The Red Hot Chili Peppers is Red Hot to marry "Zoolander" model Frankie Rayder, but too Chili to set a date yet.

Kelly
Rowland has bid farewell to Destiny’s Child with the group’s last tour,
but seems to be destined to walk down the aisle with Dallas Cowboys
safety Roy Williams. Engaged in 2004, Rowland was supposed to wed in
February of 2005 but the nuptials were postponed. Rumors of a
game-winning touchdown at the altar are for this year.

After 10 years together, Amy Smart is engaged to her high school sweetheart, actor Brandon Williams.

According to US Weekly, a diamond ring as been spotted on the left hand of Nicole Kidman, which has left many to wonder if she and country star Keith Urban are engaged.  The fellow Aussies have been having secret rendezvous for months.

Former
"Home Improvement" star Zachery Bryan is engaged to his longtime
girlfriend, Carly Matros. They have known each other since fifth grade
but only began dating two years ago. They plan to marry next summer.

"Entourage" actor Kevin Dillon, 39, became engaged this year to his girlfriend, model-actress Jane Stuart, 27.

"Six
Feet Under" actor Eric Balfour is engaged to marry his girlfriend,
actress Moon Bloodgood. The couple plan to tie the knot next year.

Singer
Rod Stewart and his longtime girlfriend, Penny Lancaster, got engaged
in Paris this March. While the couple were at the top of the Eiffel
Tower, Stewart got down on one knee and proposed. "I left it this long
because I wanted to get it right this time," Stewart said in a
statement. In November, Lancaster gave birth to a baby boy named
Alistair Wallace. Stewart and Lancaster plan to wed next summer now his
divorce from Rachel Hunter is complete.

Amanda Peet,
currently on the big-screen in "Syriana," is back on with her on-again,
off-again screenwriter boyfriend, David Benioff and could make it the
whole nine yards this time.

Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Pink
could also end up a blushing bride this year. She proposed to motocross
champion Carey Hart, who said yes, but again no date set yet.

"Las Vegas" actor Josh Duhamel
became engaged in late June to Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas, with whom
he’d been involved since Autumn, 2004 - and they’re also keeping mum on
their future wedding plans.

Rebecca Romijn
and "Crossing Jordan’s" Jerry O’Connell announced their plans to tie
the knot in September, but have yet to announce the joyful date.

Singer Avril Lavigne
became engaged to her long time friend, Sum 41 lead singer Deryck
Whibley during her concert tour, but no wedding scheduled yet.

Charlize Theron
and her fiance Stuart Townsend have reportedly said the day they get
hitched will be "the day that gays and lesbians can get married - when
that right is given to them. We’ve decided that we’re gonna use that in
a positive way, so the day that law gets passed then we’ll get
married."

And rap superstar Eminem
recently announced on a radio show that not only is he back with his
ex-wife — with whom he went through an ugly divorce and custody battle
over their young daughter in 2001 - "we are probably going to remarry."
They might want to pass on those "Lifetime Commitment Vows" this time.

Whatever
vows are made, we offer the advice of the late, great prophet Kahlil
Gibran. "Stand together, yet not too near together. For the pillars of
the temple stand apart. And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in
each other’s shadow."

Year-end Blog Entry

December 31st, 2005 by katfdax

45
minutes more and I’ll be sayin’ hi to 2006!

New year’s resolutions aren’t the only thing in
my mind as I approach the coming year…I’ve also thought about going through a
list of the things I’ve learned, the stuff I realized, bits I’ve discovered
about me, about life, about love and about anything under the sun…anything at
all…

Here goes the list(and see how random they
are..hehe!):

–> time eases the pain but doesn’t heal the wound

–> we don’t have to be with someone palpably to care for him/her
greatly

–> you cant help other people solve their problem if they
themselves are not willing to solve it

–> it is very very important to love what you’re doing

–> it isn’t very good to linger on the past(but it’s very good to
learn from past mistakes)…it’s good to think about the future…but it’s much
better to live for the moment

–> I am capable of great unconditional love

–> it is so damned difficult to shift abruptly from vacation mode
to study mode(grrr!!)

–> with acceptance comes total happiness

–> making someone happy makes me three times happier

–> you can dictate your mind but never…never your heart

–> I have got to get rid of procrastination! (I reeeeeally really
should!!!)

–> Everything happens for a reason. We don’t necessarily have to
know and understand the reason but there really is. It’s for God to know…we just
have to trust Him on that. And when we do, we would be more at ease

–> love truly hurts

–> a problem won’t be a problem unless you turn it into a problem

–> reality hurts even more

p.s.
will think of more…
Ciao, for the mean time…
hmm…*deep in thought*

Timecheck…it’s exactly 12:00 a.m. +800 timezone!!! MAke some

Counting Down

December 31st, 2005 by katfdax

8 more hours and it’ll be twenty-o-six(in the
+800 time zone , that is..)…

brand new day, brand new year!!!

    Whew…time flies awfully fast…

    It was quite a  memorable
2005 for me…I was discovering a lot about people around me, about myself as
an apprentice in the world of grown-ups, and about life, in general. Some
discoveries were good…some weren’t…but the thing is, I learned a lot…and
I’m growing as a person. I hope to grow more in the coming year. And I wish
everyone a happy new year!!! :) Ad astra per aspera! :) God bless!

When the Wrong One Loves You Right

December 31st, 2005 by katfdax

When the Wrong One Loves You Right

Celine Dion

Don”t care, what they think
How they feel, or what they say
You”re everything, I never knew
I always wanted, baby
I”ve been warned, so many times
They tell me I”ve ignored the signs
But nobody knows you like I do
The only one for me is you

I can”t stop, can”t fight, can”t resist it
When the wrong one loves you right
(Oh-oh-oh-oh-yeah)
Can”t run - can”t hide - can”t say no
When the wrong ones loves you right
(Oh-oh-oh oh)
When the wrong ones loves you right

Getting tired, of hearing that
You”re dangerous, but they won”t stop
Until I leave, they won”t believe
That being with you won”t break my heart
So worried ”bout, the road ahead
They can”t see that, you”re my best friend
They”re never gonna take me away from you
There’’s nothing they can do

I can”t stop, can”t fight, can”t resist it
When the wrong one loves you right
(Oh-oh-oh-oh-yeah)
Can”t run - can”t hide - can”t say no
When the wrong ones loves you right
(Oh-oh-oh oh)
When the wrong ones loves you right

How can I walk away
When the feeling’’s so strong
I know you”re where I belong
They say I let my heart
Make up my mind
That’’s why I”ll never say goodbye

I can”t stop, can”t fight, can”t resist it
When the wrong one loves you right
(Oh-oh-oh-oh-yeah)
Can”t run - can”t hide - can”t say no
When the wrong ones loves you right
(Oh-oh-oh oh)
When the wrong ones loves you right
I can”t stop, can”t fight, can”t resist it
When the wrong one loves you right
(Oh-oh-oh-oh-yeah)
Can”t run - can”t hide - can”t say no
When the wrong ones loves you right
(Oh-oh-oh oh)
When the wrong ones loves you right

I was searching around Limewire trying to look for

live performances

when
I came across this file entitled "Celine Dion with Destiny’s Child -
Emotions & When the Wrong One Loves You Right - Live". The first
song title(Emotions), I knew…but I didn’t know about the second one.
After the file finished downloading, I immediately played the 65-MB
*.mpg clip and feasted on the live performance by two of my fave
artists. The first song they performed as mentioned earlier, was Emotions, a remake
originally done by The Beegees. After the first song, came When the Wrong One Loves You Right.
It’s the first time fo me to hear this Celine Dion track and I when the
first hitting of the drums came, I knew I’d like the rest of which that
I’d hear. It’s a beautiful track. Not only because I could relate
to it(ehem…heheh!!) but also because it has this wonderful message that tells us we
don’t need to have our so-called "right one" to be happy. When we
love, we just can’t run, can’t hide and can’t say no to the feeling…even if we think it’s the wrong one we’re loving. Fact is…there’s no right one or wrong one…when it comes to love. Hmm…just a thought…

Anyways…I’m right now watching the rest of the
video clips that I’ve downloaded. I just watched a live performnce of Natural Woman
by no less than Aretha Franklin, Gloria Estefan, Shania Twain, Celine
Dion, Mariah Carey together with the song’s writer, Carole King. Boy,
it’s great to watch the pros get together on stage. Whew! Watching them
never fails to amaze me greatly…they give me goosebumps all the time.

It’s always been my hobby to watch live
performances. It is in these situations wherein genuineness of talents
are shown(not in music videos…that’s just edited, the artist
lip-syncs and all). I’m so much into award shows or anniversary
specials because it is in these types of shows wherein arrays of
amazing performances from super talented artists are shown.

Hmm…so much for the blah blah’s…hehe..I’ll end
this here…enjoy the song..the title is linked to a file which happens
to be the song itself…LoL!

    Au revoir! Enjoy!

Procrastination

December 27th, 2005 by katfdax

    There’s a lot
that I want so much to do but I just can’t. Have you ever had that feeling
wherein you just can’t do something you want to or have to do? Procrastination,
as we all call it. I hate to admit it but yes, I am often bothered with this
deferment. It is so ironic because I am the type of person who doesn’t want to
not do anything. I get frustrated a lot because my day often ends up with me
not being able to accomplish what I wish to accomplish. I would love it if not
a second of my day is wasted…that would really really satisfy me…but
ironically, all I do is sit on my ass and stay in front of my PC doing
practically nothin’ (of course it isn’t really ‘nothin’…I’m just exaggerating
a bit…LoL!).

But seriously, though…most of the times, I am distracted
from what I’m supposed to do carry out in one day especially if I know within
me that I have a lot of time to do it.

    I think I just got myself a new year’s
resolution…."overcome procrastination"! It would be one heck of an
effort that I’d have to exert. But I’m determined to work it out. Welcome
twenty-o-seven, goodbye procrastination…how I truly truly wish it’d be like
that for me!

Happy Holidayz!!!

Joyous Year ahead of y’all!!! :)

Harmonious Day

December 22nd, 2005 by katfdax

Just got home from the mall and guess what…I just
happened to watch the The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra perform live.
They
were having this show at the arena. This is the first time I’ve seen
them perform live. I often see them on TV and have always been a fan. I
wasn’t really aware that they
were there. We were having a meal at KFC and at the midst of our
savoring
the food I realized that I was listening to very good music and so I
asked Shamz, who was with me…"Is that live?". She was like, "Huh…if
that’s live, then they’re really really good". So she checked out the
backdrop and read it to me.."It says..Manila..Phil..uh..Philharmonic
Orchestra..". And I was like, "Waaaaahhhht?!? Are you kiddin me, let’s
get out of here and watch em!". Hehe! And so, we did.

There were around 6 violinists, 1 pianist, 1
drumist, 1 bassist and a flutist. They were askin people from the
audience to sing while they give out the accompaniment. When we arrived
near them, a girl was singing Alicia Keys’ beautiful track If I Ain’t Got You. The pianist was really good…..and so was everybody else.

They
were reeeeeally great! Watching them made me wish I continued that
violin lessons I took 3 years ago. Huhuhu! I was starting to learn
violin. I was in 2nd yeear high school then. I stopped because
uh…tinamad ako..hehe! My instructor often scolded(couldnt find a
lighter term) me because I used to attempt on playing songs without
reading notes…widowing, they call it. He said I shouldn’t do that
because later on, I’d surely become a lazy ‘note-reader’. But I just
couldn’t stop myself coz I wanted so much lo learn that beautiful intro
of the song Runaway by The Corrs…it has got a beautiful violin intro and I really wanted to(still want to) learn it. Hehehe!! Pasaway!
Anyway, I don’t know if I could still play right now if you hand me a
violin and let me play. I’d sure love to learn but I can’t..not with
the kind of schedule in school that I have.

Hmmm….so much for that. I now have to go to sleep.
I’m not feeling well. My attempt to clean up some of the mess in my
room caused my allergic reaction to dust occur once again…grrrr!!!
(Forgot to put on my ‘cleaning mask’). My throat feels like it’s got
sand all over it, and I’m sneezing non-stop..hmmph! I don’t wanna spend
Christmas with a runny nose so I’m gonna go to sleep early so I could
rest and be rid of this ‘attack’. LoL!

    G’night everyone! :)
